Document Management / Assigning Documents

We have various documents that everyone needs to have. Currently, we have to open each person’s file and save the document there. It would be helpful if the documents could be assigned directly to the people, just like with the rules and regulations or tasks, etc. This would save a tremendous amount of time and frustration. I also think that a proper document management system would make sense for other documents related to equipment, etc.
